Contain Papers - - - before you leave the office for the day.

  1. Put all your “to do” papers in your ‘to do’ folder or tickler file.

  2. Put all your “to file” papers in your ‘to file’ basket.

  3. Are papers left on the desk? Sort them NOW!

    You have one of three choices for each paper -
    • Throw it out
    • Act on it - Put it in your ‘to do’ or tickler file
    • File it - put it in your ‘to file’ basket

  4. Unsure of any paper? Put it in the ‘to do’ folder.
    Why?Making a decision is an action!
