The Home Furnishings Program is celebrating 40 years of serving needy families in Schenectady County. They donate furniture and household items to individuals and families “in transition”. Services are provided free of charge and donations are tax deductible. Here is what they need: Home Furnishings can use beds (mattresses, box springs and frames with no stains), kitchen tables, chairs, dressers, sofas, loveseats (no sofa beds, sectionals or built in recliners) and household items such as towels, dish sets, pots, pans, small appliances, etc. Should be in good conditions since they are not able to repair.
